From Challenge
to Innovation
Growing up in Singers Glen, Virginia, in a family where hearing loss spanned six generations, Charity experienced firsthand the barriers to traditional education. When she lost her remaining hearing at 13, it became fuel for determination, leading her to become the first in her family to graduate college.
Later, as a mother of children with hearing loss, she supported her children's entrepreneurial journey with "Every Celebration," a pigeon release business they ran for a decade. This venture taught more than business skills—it demonstrated how practical knowledge and lived experience could create both opportunity and independence.
Leadership Through
Lived Experience
Over three decades of Charity Reedy Warigon's career were dedicated to transforming lives through higher education. Rising to become a senior institutional leader, she ultimately served as Chief Enrollment Management Officer, working directly with university leadership to shape the educational experience of students.
Her leadership journey continued as Executive Director of the West Virginia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and later as Interim CEO of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). She then went on to found 360 Degree Academy, Inc.
Throughout these roles, her mission remained constant: ensuring education reaches everyone.
