Our Founder

Our Origin

In 2017, Charity Reedy Warigon founded 360 Degree Academy with the understanding that universal access creates a dual pathway to excellence. Her platform transforms education in two fundamental ways: first, by curating high-quality content that engages and inspires learners of all backgrounds and abilities, and second, by incorporating diverse learning needs into the platform's design. This approach recognizes that solutions originally designed for disabled learners ultimately lead to more innovative, flexible, and effective experiences for everyone—turning universal access into universal benefit.

The vision of excellence through accessibility was further expanded during a transformative visit to Nigeria, where she witnessed how digital connectivity could deliver meaningful educational experiences across borders, reinforcing her conviction that removing barriers doesn't just widen access—it elevates the quality of learning for all participants regardless of geography or ability.

From Challenge
to Innovation

Going further back, while growing up in Singers Glen, Virginia, within a family where hearing loss spanned six generations, Charity experienced firsthand the barriers to traditional education. When she lost her remaining hearing at 13, it became fuel for determination, leading her to become the first in her family to graduate college, thanks to the sale of her cows and assistance from Vocational Rehabilitation.

Later, as a mother of children with hearing loss, she supported her children's entrepreneurial journey with "Every Celebration," a pigeon release business they ran for a decade. This venture taught more than business skills—it demonstrated how practical knowledge and lived experience could create both opportunity and independence.

Leadership Through
Lived Experience

Over three decades of Charity Reedy Warigon's career were dedicated to transforming lives through higher education. Rising to become a senior institutional leader, she ultimately served as Chief Enrollment Management Officer, working directly with university leadership to shape the educational experience of students.

Her leadership journey continued as Executive Director of the West Virginia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and later as Interim CEO of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). Throughout these roles, her lifelong purpose remained constant: ensuring education reaches everyone.
